1992Surgeon Gary Alegre has joined Alpine Orthopaedic Medical Group Inc. in Stockton. (appeared in the Winter 2004 issue)   Mike Costello, who opened the beer-brewing business Brew It Up! in Davis seven years ago, moved the operation to Sacramento in September. The business now includes a restaurant as well as an expanded brewery. (appeared in the Winter 2004 issue)    Mia (Kim) Dennis married Aaron Dennis in Lake Tahoe in July. She is vice president at San Francisco investment consulting firm Callan Associates, where she specializes in real estate consulting. The couple lives in Moraga. (appeared in the Winter 2004 issue)    Jennifer Kahsen Pearce and Brian Pearce welcomed their second child, Andrew David, in July. Andrew joins big brother Jonathan, 3. Brian works for Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco, and Jennifer is a stay-at-home mom. The family lives in Pleasanton. (appeared in the Winter 2004 issue)    Michael Baker, leader of the Oakland rock ‘n’ roll band Slim, was named the new Berkeley Farms Moo Master after winning a contest inviting people to record their own versions of the Berkeley Farms slogan. He will now serve as the “voice of Berkeley Farms” on Northern California radio commercials for the next year. (appeared in the Spring 2004 issue)    Matthew Macario of West Seattle, Wash., was named a partner at Lane Powell Spears Lubersky LLP. His emphasis is in securities, real estate and construction litigation. (appeared in the Spring 2004 issue)    Deanna Masunaga and Timothy Bonzelet were married in October in New Orleans, La. The couple lives in Lafayette, La., where Masunaga practices optometry. (appeared in the Spring 2004 issue)    Kristin Mellone married Steve Kalning at Lake Tahoe in October, celebrating the occasion with fellow UC Davis alumni Lisa Mattoni, Stephanie Alberti and Meredith Furtney. Mellone works for a San Francisco market research firm, and Kalning is a producer and artist for Blizzard Entertainment, a video game company in San Mateo. (appeared in the Spring 2004 issue)    Randy Wong and his wife, Monica, had their first child, Kyle Scott, in December. They work together as commercial real estate attorneys and developers and live in Newport Coast. (appeared in the Spring 2004 issue)    Bjorn Dahlen, M.A. ’01, was appointed airborne science operations coordinator/research pilot at the Upper Midwest Aerospace Consortium in the John D. Odegard School of Aerospace, University of North Dakota. Dahlen works with students, faculty and scientists on airborne science projects and sensor development. He also pilots aircraft for the consortium and NASA science missions. (appeared in the Summer 2004 issue)    Matthew Kennedy, M.A., is the author of a new book, Edmund Goulding’s Dark Victory: Hollywood’s Genius Bad Boy (University of Wisconsin Press), a biography of the classic film director. (appeared in the Summer 2004 issue)    After more than three years as a corporate attorney in San Francisco, Patrick Shea took an eight-month sabbatical in Aspen, Colo., during which he wrote a screenplay and married Karen Gardner. The couple now lives in Shea’s hometown, Sacramento, where he is a corporate counsel with Waste Connections Inc. At press time, they were expecting their first child, a son. (appeared in the Summer 2004 issue)    Anton Raneses works as a ships propulsion fuel contracting officer for the Defense Logistics Agency in Ft. Belvoir, Va. He also serves as a Naval Reserve officer at the Pentagon one weekend a month and enjoys spending time with his wife, Luisa, and two children, Catherine and Ethan. (appeared in the Fall 2004 issue)    Alison Vidal, a UC Davis Hall of Fame tennis player, currently works for the San Francisco Giants. (appeared in the Fall 2004 issue)    Peter Costa is a civil engineer for PG&E. (appeared in the Fall 2004 issue)    Christine Dobrowolski, an Arcata podiatrist, has written a book, Those Aching Feet: Your Guide to Diagnosis and Treatment of Common Foot Problems. The book was released last February by San Francisco-based SKI Publishing, run by her brother Joe Dobrowolski ’94. (appeared in the Winter 2005 issue)    Paul Peterlin recently returned from serving one year in Iraq and Kuwait with the California Army National Guard. He ran heavy equipment transportation missions throughout Iraq. A California National Guard captain, he is commander of the 870th Military Police Company in Pittsburg. In his spare time, he works on three classic cars, and enjoys golfing and fishing. He and his wife, Cynthia ’91, have three children and live in Grass Valley. (appeared in the Winter 2005 issue)    Randy Scott Wong, a Newport Beach real estate developer and attorney, was selected from more than 10,000 applicants to join 29 motorcyclists from 16 countries for an expense-paid three-day trip to Germany’s Nurburgring racetrack in September to test ride a new BMW motorcycle. (appeared in the Winter 2005 issue)    Sharon Bush was elected to the Kern County Republican Central Committee. (appeared in the Spring 2005 issue)    Scott Carney joined the California Health and Human Services Agency as assistant secretary in June. He and his wife, Laurie (Dunn) Carney ’93, live in Davis and have two daughters, ages 3 and 1. (appeared in the Spring 2005 issue)
