1992Michael Chang joined Matsushita Vivendi Universal in charge of legal and business affairs at its Universal City office. Previously, Chang spent eight years in Asia, serving as an in-house counsel and senior executive for technology and logistics companies. (appeared in the Spring 2005 issue)   Katherine Eastham was appointed chief of the Caltrans Transportation Planning Office covering Sacramento, Yolo, Placer and El Dorado counties. (appeared in the Spring 2005 issue)    Christina (Ouano) Hays lives in Arlington, Va., where she works in power plant operations and settlements. She married David Hays in 2003, and they welcomed their daughter, Jessica, in October. (appeared in the Spring 2005 issue)    Amanda Kramer became a shareholder in the San Diego law firm Seltzer Caplan McMahon Vitek. Kramer, a certified family law specialist, practiced in the San Francisco Bay Area before joining the firm. (appeared in the Spring 2005 issue)    Elizabeth Friedman, J.D., was named an assistant district attorney for Palmer, Alaska after serving as an assistant attorney for Matanuska-Susitna Borough. (appeared in the Summer 2005 issue)    In March, Alison Iaso Isenberg earned an M.Ed. in natural science/science education and a certificate in nonprofit leadership and administration from the North Cascades Institute and Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash. (appeared in the Summer 2005 issue)    Amanda Kramer became a shareholder in San Diego law firm Seltzer Caplan McMahon Vitek. Kramer, who specializes in family law, has also practiced law in the San Francisco area. (appeared in the Summer 2005 issue)    Anthony Soohoo is vice president of products and strategy at Yahoo HotJobs. He spoke on campus recently, as a guest of the UC Davis International Business Association, advising students on life after college. (appeared in the Summer 2005 issue)    Steven Zodikoff was married in 1997. He has three daughters: Hannah, 6, Amanda, 5, and Grace, 3. (appeared in the Summer 2005 issue)    Brendon Yih Wen died in May 2005 shortly after competing in a swim meet. He was 35. He had been a competitive swimmer since his childhood and had been on the UC Davis swim and water polo teams. A Berkeley resident, Mr. Wen was a criminal defense attorney with a private practice in San Francisco. He is survived by his wife, Sheila. (appeared in the Summer 2005 issue)    Tony Williams was hired by Craford Benefit Consultants, an employee-benefits consulting firm based in San Rafael, as senior consultant/senior manager of underwriting services. Williams lives in Novato. (appeared in the Fall 2005 issue)    Michael Chang works for Matsushita, marketing the Blu-ray Disc optical media storage device to production companies in Hollywood and around the world. He lives in Hollywood. (appeared in the Spring 2006 issue)    Michael Koch, Ph.D. ’02, recently accepted a tenure-track position in the Department of Political Science at Texas A&M University in College Station. (appeared in the Spring 2006 issue)    Jeff Reisig is a candidate for Yolo County district attorney—a position up for election in June. Currently a deputy district attorney, Reisig has twice been named Yolo County Prosecutor of the Year by his peers for his work prosecuting perpetrators of gang violence and crimes against children. (appeared in the Spring 2006 issue)    Brian Ebbert recently earned his master’s degree in government from California State University, Sacramento. A 15-year veteran staffer in the Legislature, Ebbert wrote his thesis on the effect of term limits on partisan conflict in the California Assembly. (appeared in the Summer 2006 issue)    Troy Ellerman, J.D., is the commissioner for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys’ Association. A former defense attorney, Ellerman gained recognition when he represented the vice-president of Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative (BALCO), the steroid distributor linked to athletes including Barry Bonds and Jason Giambi. However, Ellerman’s real passion is rodeo. A two-time winner of the Red Bluff Junior Round-Up, he went on to ride professionally before passing the bar exam. (appeared in the Summer 2006 issue)    Isabel Lima, M.S., Ph.D. ’96, received the Mid-South Area Early Career Research Scientist award at the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Research Service award ceremony in February. A resident of New Orleans, Lima was forced to relocate temporarily to Wyndmoor, Pa., following hurricane Katrina. Lima is a research chemist with the ARS Commodity Utilization Research Group. (appeared in the Summer 2006 issue)    Mark Loza, an attorney for Los Angeles County, was recently promoted to a supervising attorney position. (appeared in the Summer 2006 issue)    John Chilcott and Jamie Brindley ’97 were married in August at Montevina Winery in Plymouth. The couple lives in the Bay Area where they teach high school. (appeared in the Fall 2006 issue)    Melanie Dardis teaches world history in Kalispell, Mont., where she lives with her husband, Michael, and daughters Emily and Maddie. She says she enjoys the skiing and sailing of Montana’s Flathead Valley. (appeared in the Fall 2006 issue)
