1996Emily Andrada-Brown, M.D., has become a full-time clinical faculty member in the pediatric emergency department at the UC Davis Medical Center. Her husband, Tom, is a stay-at-home dad who cares for their two children: Scout, 3, and Quinn, 1. (appeared in the Fall 2003 issue)   Ken Pawlowski, D.V.M., was chosen Outstanding D.V.M. of the Year by California registered veterinary technicians. Pawlowski is charter owner and chief of staff at Banfield Pet Hospital in Folsom and has been the host of "Ask Dr. Ken" on Sacramento radio station KWOD. (appeared in the Fall 2003 issue)    William Phillips, M.S. '98, is in his final year of medical school at UC San Diego and is pursuing residency positions in internal medicine. He can be reached at wilisp@yahoo.com. (appeared in the Fall 2003 issue)    David Trowbridge graduated from the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio. Trowbridge is training in internal medicine at Eisenhower Army Medical Center near Augusta, Ga. His wife also received her M.D. degree from the University of Texas and works in psychiatry. (appeared in the Fall 2003 issue)    Kathryn Estes will begin her first year in the nursing master of science program at Samuel Merritt College in Oakland in January. (appeared in the Winter 2004 issue)    Mark Grieb married Erin Moix in Napa in July. Grieb is a member of the San Jose Sabercats football team (see article in fall 2003 issue of UC Davis Magazine), and Moix is the cancer registry manager at Stanford University Medical Center. The couple lives in Redwood City. (appeared in the Winter 2004 issue)    Greg Price of Miles Treaster and Associates in West Sacramento was named vice president of legislation for the California Legislative Coalition for Interior Design. He is responsible for monitoring legislation and regulatory issues that pertain to California interior designers. (appeared in the Winter 2004 issue)    Nader Twal, an English teacher at Millikan High School in Long Beach, was awarded one of the Milken Family Foundation National Educator Awards for 2003. He was one of 100 educators nationwide to receive the $25,000 award. (appeared in the Winter 2004 issue)    Marc Conkle was accepted into the M.B.A. program at the University of Michigan where he is also completing a master’s degree in industrial and operations engineering. He and his fiancée, Elizabeth, were married in February. (appeared in the Spring 2004 issue)    Geoffrey Dewhurst and Kirsten (Watkinson) Dewhurst ’98 had their third son, Jonah Gannon, in July. Jonah has two older brothers, Joshua, 5, and Jakob, 3. Kirsten is a stay-at-home mom, and Geoffrey works for the Arizona Department of Justice. The family lives in Yuma. (appeared in the Spring 2004 issue)    Dan Ernest Piggott received a doctorate of jurisprudence from the Monterey College of Law in August. (appeared in the Spring 2004 issue)    James Bushman, Ed.D., was named principal of Redwood High School in Visalia. He was previously a learning director at Clovis High School. His wife, Jonica (Manak) Bushman, has taught in several Visalia schools. (appeared in the Fall 2004 issue)    Marla (Gomez) Dolcini and her husband, Matt, welcomed their first child, Alyssa Michelle, in March. They live in Davis. (appeared in the Fall 2004 issue)    Doug Gibson and Stephanie (Abshere) Gibson ’95 welcomed a daughter, Chloe Mae, in June. They reside in Royal Oak, Mich., while Doug completes his last year of emergency medicine residency at Detroit Receiving Hospital. (appeared in the Fall 2004 issue)    Jennifer Magnotta is a substitute teacher in Santa Clarita, where she lives with her fiancé, Tom. They plan to marry in February. (appeared in the Fall 2004 issue)    Winnifred Ward, J.D., recently joined Downey Brand LLP, a law firm in Sacramento. Ward specializes in real estate law. (appeared in the Fall 2004 issue)    Allison Austin is an environmental scientist for design firm Burgess & Niple’s office in Woodbridge, Va, and is pursuing a master’s degree in environmental science and policy from George Mason University. (appeared in the Winter 2005 issue)    Chris Markus, M.A., and Stephen McFeely, M.A., wrote the screenplay for The Life and Death of Peter Sellers, which stars Stephen Fry, John Lithgow and Charlize Theron. The film was released in Europe earlier this year and was set to air on HBO in December. Markus and McFeely were also principal writers on Disney’s animated feature The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which was filmed this fall in New Zealand. (appeared in the Winter 2005 issue)    Allison (O’Connell) Woolley and Robert Woolley ’95 welcomed their first child, Nicole O’Connell Woolley, in March. They live in Davis. (appeared in the Winter 2005 issue)    Natasha Sumner received a law degree from Santa Clara University in May and currently practices at the Law Office of Allen Fleishman in San Jose.
