1992Alison Vidal recently became a regional sales account manager for the United States Tennis Association, overseeing nine field representatives in Northern California. She previously worked three years as a sports account executive for Comcast Spotlight.    Randy Scott Wong recently built and opened a 5,000-square-foot photography studio in San Francisco. He also operates I-5 Self Storage in Tustin.    John Craik of Gardnerville, Nev., was among 11 people who died in September after a World War II-era plane crashed into spectators at the National Championships Air Races in Reno. He was 45. While attending UC Davis, he played tenor saxophone for the Cal Aggie Marching Band, and after graduating was a member of the Cal Aggie Alumni Band. A contractor, he owned Big John Construction. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Lorraine; son, Ethan; daughter, MacKenzie; mother, Virginia; and his sister, Kelly Meyer.    Patricia “Trish” (Doskocz) Ekiss, D.V.M., of Granite Bay died in May. She was 51. She was a certified public accountant, veterinarian and animal rights supporter. She is survived by her children, Kara and Daniel; parents, Barbara and Gene Doskocz; sister, Donna Rodriguez; and brother, John Doskocz.
1993Nia (Aileen) Camaclang of Fairfield died in August at age 38. After graduating, she worked for the San Francisco Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and other companies. She also obtained a certificate in graphic design at the UC Berkeley Extension and was becoming proficient in currency trading. Ms. Camaclang did volunteer work for Creativity Explored of San Francisco, Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano counties, Habitat for Humanity of Solano County and Fairfield Civic Center Library’s adult reading room. She is survived by her parents, Sonny and Eileen of Fairfield.
1995Nora Kenney Watson is a visiting assistant professor at UC Berkeley, teaching writing, literacy and urban schooling courses. She also directs after-school programs at two Oakland schools. She recently returned to California after teaching for two years at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia. She earned a doctorate in education with a specialty in literacy from UC Berkeley in 2009. She lives in Oakland with her husband, Dunbar Watson, and their son, Alexander.    Greg Campbell was promoted in November to chief of staff for California Assembly Speaker John Pérez, D-Los Angeles. Campbell has held leadership positions with each of the past four Assembly speakers, helping to develop state budgets and managing Assembly operations. He has focused on labor and workforce development issues such as pension reform, workers compensation, health care reform and increasing the state’s minimum wage.
1996Debbie (Reynolds) Viguié’s newest book Damned (Simon Pulse), co-authored with Nancy Holder, was released in August. It is the second in a supernatural young adults book series, Crusade, about a vampire-fighting couple. Viguié’s books have been on the New York Times best sellers list. She and her husband Scott Viguié ’94 live in Florida.
1997Patrick Len, a physical sciences faculty member at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, received a 2011 Peter and M’May Diffley Award for Faculty Excellence from the college’s Academic Senate. He teaches introductory astronomy and physics. His wife, Heather McElroy ’02, is a research assistant at Santa Cruz Biotechnology in Paso Robles.
1999Andrea Bogomolni received a 2011 Robert & Patricia Switzer Foundation fellowship for her studies on how disease is spread among humans and animals in a marine environment. She is a doctoral candidate in pathobiology and veterinary sciences at the University of Connecticut and a research associate at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
2000Alexander Chow, creative director of Vogue China, was recently interviewed by Shanti Christensen for her China food blog, showshanti.com. Before moving to Beijing, Chow spent eight years in New York City and one year in London working for publications such as NYLON, POP Magazine and Love Magazine.    After serving in the Peace Corps in the West Indies, Geoffrey and Kimberly (Parker) Matranga now live in Washington, D.C. They both work for the State Department. In October, Matt and Michelle (Modrich) Westoby welcomed their second child, Ella Rose. She joins her brother, Tyler Davis, 2. They live in Chapel Hill, N.C., where Matt works in the biotechnology field.
2002Caetlynn Booth was awarded a Fulbright scholarship in August to study painting and printmaking in Berlin. She recently received a master’s in fine arts from Rutgers University, where she was a Diney Goldsmith fellow and was given a teaching/graduate assistant Award for Excellence. Her work can be viewed at http://caetlynnbooth.com.    Aaron Sathrum recently finished his doctoral research at UC San Diego on solar-based fuels. He plans to develop large-scale electrical energy storage systems for electric vehicles, smart grid and renewable energy applications. He now works at General Atomics in La Jolla and lives with his wife Jenny (Adams) Sathrum ’03 in San Diego. They recently traveled to China to celebrate the conclusion of his research.
2004Andrea McNees is serving in Tanzania as a project coordinator for the nonprofit group, 2Seeds Network, helping small villages improve their farming methods. She blogs at kwakiligaproject.blogspot.com.    George and Kristen (Niedecken) Bruque recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary in Europe. They live in Oakland, where George is finishing his residency training in pediatrics at Oakland Children’s Hospital. Kirsten is a seventh-grade math teacher in Castro Valley.
2007Mark Otero, M.B.A., spoke at the UC Davis Fall Convocation in September. He is the CEO and co-founder of the Sacramento-based KlickNation, a multimillion dollar software company that creates online fantasy games. About 1 million people play the Superhero City and KlickNation games each month.
2009Elizabeth Le is serving a second full year with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, this time assisting the Tundra Women’s Coalition in Bethel, Alaska. She spent last year as public relations representative and skills trainer at Youth Advocates of Sitka.    Danielle McLaughlin won the gold medal in her division at the Paratriathlon World Championships in Beijing in September.
