Fitzgerald currently manages office buildings in downtown Sacramento for Jones Lang LaSalle, and her husband is a warehouse operations manager. • George “Geo” Gosling has written TBI Hell: A Traumatic Brain Injury Really Sucks (Outskirts Press), the story about how he survived a bicycle accident against a pickup truck and recovered from a serious brain injury. • Adam Inlander was named executive director of Temple Beth Shalom in New Albany, Ohio, and has earned senior membership in the National Association of Temple Administrators. |

She lives in Manhattan Beach. • Zakia Sims currently teaches first grade at William Lloyd Garrison Elementary School in Washington, D.C. Mentioned in a recent article in USA Today, Sims has earned a D.C. Public Schools’ “Distinguished Educator” award in addition to a prestigious certificate from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. She has worked at Garrison since 2000. • David Vaught, Ph.D., recently published a book, After the Gold Rush: Tarnished Dreams in the Sacramento Valley (Johns Hopkins University Press), a history of agriculture and rural life along Putah Creek from roughly 1850 to 1910. |
| 2000Kelly Culwell, M.D., is completing her degree requirements for a master’s degree in public health from Northwestern University this summer. Culwell will then start a new position as research assistant professor at the University of North Carolina School of Public Health with a 24-month assignment to the Promoting Family Planning Team at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. She will be moving to Geneva with her husband, Kent, and little dog, Jackson, this August. • Kylie (Ware) Heintz and her husband, Tim, welcomed their first child, Samuel Vincent, in January. Heintz works as the public relations manager at Barracuda Networks Inc. in Mountain View. |

Thayer had worked with Campus Events and Visitor Services as an event coordinator since 1999. • Last May, Christina Tom received her Master of Science in nursing from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing in Baltimore, Md.
