Somewhere along the line, the irrigation tank got filled in and the Tank Rush died, though not necessarily in that order. But who needed a whole pool of water when there was mud to be made? Certainly generations of Aggies did not. For decades, opposing teams of first- and second-year students dragged each other through pits of ooze in the annual tug-of-war. This photo is from 1959–60.
