The Second Century

Drawing: Mondavi Institute vineyard

South Entry

Visitors to campus will soon be greeted by an 11-acre teaching vineyard, a visual reminder that UC Davis’ roots are in agriculture. The vineyard will provide grapes for the campus winery, located in the just-completed Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science, and draw visitors into a new neighborhood that also includes the Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts; the Walter A. Buehler Alumni and Visitors Center; two buildings currently under construction, Maurice J. Gallagher Jr. Hall for the Graduate School of Management and a Hyatt Hotel and conference center; and eventually an art museum.
