David Windsor Price '22 died in June at the age of 94. Mr. Price graduated from UC Davis with a dairy industry degree and then moved to Vallejo to work for the Widenmann Dairy Plant, later known as Golden State Dairy Co. He worked for Golden State for 45 years, retiring to Sierra City in 1967, where he pursued his love of trout fishing and restoring his 1879 house and garden. He is survived by his wife, Mildred; sons, David Price and Mickey Schick; daughter and son-in-law, Bea '52 and George Henke; and two grandchildren.

Harold Weeth '46 died in February at the age of 75. Raised on his grandfather's ranch near Corcoran, Mr. Weeth studied agronomy at UC Davis and was a class officer and member of the Beta Phi fraternity. In 1941, Mr. Weeth joined the U.S. Coast Guard, serving until 1945. After the war, Mr. Weeth returned to UC Davis for his degree, then went to Coalinga to work with his father and uncle on Hog Ranch. He went on to form many agrarian partnerships and organizations, including E. Weeth & Son with his father, Coalinga Co-op Gin and Cinco Farms Inc. Mr. Weeth was a board member of such agricultural associations as the Ag Council of California and the California State Board of Agriculture. He is survived by his wife, Lois '43.

Henry Voss '54 was found dead in his swimming pool in July at the age of 63. Mr. Voss, a former California agriculture chief, was described by friends as a "farmer's farmer," a man unafraid to work the land even while moving in the political realm of agriculture. Mr. Voss was born in San Jose in 1932 to a Santa Clara Valley farm family and used his horticulture degree from UC Davis to become a self-employed farmer in 1961. He served as president of the California Farm Bureau Federation from 1982 to 1989 and as a member of President Reagan's commission studying the 1985 Farm Bill. From 1990 to 1995, he was secretary of the California Department of Food and Agriculture. Mr. Voss is survived by his wife, Carol; three daughters; two sons; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Barbara (Wrye) Papworth '60, Cred. '61, died in June at the age of 58 after a long illness. Ms. Papworth was a resident of Los Gatos and taught political science and history for 30 years at the high-school level in the Campbell Unified School District. She was active in the Lupus Foundation of America and is survived by her brother, Kenneth Wrye.

Alfred Anthony "Al" Struck '83 died in June at age 34 following a motorcycle accident. After graduating from UC Davis, Struck was employed by Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis, Mo.; during his 12 years with the company he was promoted within brewing management and lived throughout the United States. Settling in Westlake Village in California, Struck and his wife, Jill '83, owned and operated AmeriSpec Home Inspection Co. Struck was active in the Westlake Baseball Association as manager and coach and enjoyed playing golf. He is survived by his wife; three sons; his parents; his brother, Rick Struck '86; and his sister, Linda Schulz '87.

Ryan E. Couch '86 died in November 1995 at the age of 32. Mr. Couch graduated from UC Davis with a bachelor's degree in physics and then worked for Hughes Aircraft until 1990. In that same year he received a master's degree in physics from CSU Long Beach and returned to UC Davis to pursue a doctoral degree, also in physics. The Ryan Couch Memorial Fund has been established in his honor to provide support for graduate students in physics. Contributions may be sent to Department of Physics, University of California, Davis, CA 95616, Attention: Teresa Overstreet. Mr. Couch is survived by his parents.

Wilbur R. Martin '94 died in June after a five-year battle with brain cancer. He was 25. Mr. Martin played for the UC Davis baseball team and coached the sport at various levels. In addition, he started UC Davis' first support group for cancer patients, volunteering and speaking to groups for the American Cancer Society. Mr. Martin also hunted, fished, played golf and trained dogs.
