The play's the thing

Thank you for your articles about the UC Davis Department of Dramatic Art in your recent issues. Both Jacky O'Connor's essay in the winter 1998 issue and your cover feature in the spring 1998 issue emphasized the cooperative effort and teamwork necessary to create theater and the enrichment experienced by both those participating in the process and those in the audience who share the results. I have found that this understanding of and appreciation for a theater community is embraced by the many UC Davis drama department graduates whom I've met and with whom I've worked in professional theater. I'm happy to know that UC Davis' tradition of training conscientious and devoted theater workers continues.
