Missed the ball

Enjoyed your recent winter '97 edition of UC Davis Magazine. However, in your sports "Sidelines" you totally missed perhaps this year's best performance by a UC Davis team--the men's water polo team finishing third in the NCAA finals (Division I and II) championship at San Diego, having won the Western Water Polo Assocation conference playoffs over UC San Diego and Air Force Academy.

They lost only to UCLA, which eventually became the NCAA National Champion and defeated Massachusetts for third place behind USC.
