Killer tomatoes In reference to the letter from Nan Turner in the winter 1999 issue regarding "Killer Tomatoes": I am the creator of the Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. The scene she remembers was for a Super 8 film made for a film class by myself and three other Davis students in 1973. That film, unfortunately, is long gone. In 1978, we made the feature film Attack of the Killer Tomatoes based upon some of the ideas from our student film. This film, of course, has gone on to great fame, three sequels, a cartoon show and numerous product spin-offs. The films are available on video from 20th Century Fox and Disney. With any luck, there may yet be a fifth Killer Tomato film in the future! Costa Dillon '75 |
