Paul Couture is the owner of Couture Farms, headquartered in Kettleman City, which specializes in growing and importing melons and asparagus. The family farming operation dates back to the 1880s and continues today into the fourth generation. Family members who have attended UC Davis include Courture's sons, Steve and Chris, daughter-in-law Stacy, son-in-law D. Mills Matheson and grandson Andrew Matheson.
Elmer Pfaffenberger is now in his 10th year of retirement after teaching science at Woodland High School for 29 years. He has been living in Woodland for 37 years.

Willard G. Clark was presented with the National Dairy Shrine Guest of Honor award, one of the most prestigious awards in the dairy industry. He currently lives in Hanford, where he manages the family dairy. He has been honored in the past as World Dairy Expo's Industry Person of the Year, the National Association of Animal Breeders Distinguished Service Award recipient and California Holstein Association's Younger Breeder of the Year in 1963.
Montie Montana Jr. has published Cowboy Cuisine. The book includes 400 pages of recipes from around the world. Montana produces Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show, whose performers contributed many of the recipes.
Dorothy Lacsamona, who has changed her name to Cameo Archer, has written two novels, one set in 19th-century England and the other in 1930s Southern California. She is currently working on her third book, a novelization of her grandparents' lives as missionaries in China.
Gurdev Singh Khush, Ph.D., is the co-recipient of the World Food Prize, an honor bestowed for his development of rice strains that have more than doubled the world's production. Khush heads the International Rice Research Institute in the Philippines. The World Food Prize is administered by the Iowa State University College of Agriculture at Ames.
Artist Stephen J. Kaltenbach, M.F.A. '67, has had solo exhibitions this year at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and his work has been featured in several group exhibitions. Kaltenbach teaches at California State University, Sacramento, and writes that he has a sculpture garden available for tours or photos at his Davis home.
Murice "Mia" Keller was recently recognized by the Crossroads Christian Church of Vacaville for "service to others" and "making a difference in the quality of people's lives." She was honored at a surprise party where she received gifts and a proclamation fromVacaville Mayor David Fleming making June 21 "Mia Keller Day." Frederick Vinson recently traveled to Guangdong, China, to adopt a little girl, Hope. He is an ob-gyn in solo practice in San Antonio, Texas, where he lives with his wife of 17 years, Dianne, and their two other children, Luke, 9, and Mark-Zachary, 7.
