Gay fears

I am amazed at Catherine Kudlick's statement [fall issue, page 11] that "People who are most afraid of gay people are probably subconsciously worried about being gay themselves." How high to be a judge! My youngest son is gay and my knowing firsthand the life-style of many homosexuals causes me to greatly fear and worry about him and others like him--and I am no way gay myself. The gay community has paid a terrible price for their homosexuality, and they will continue to do so regardless of homophobia phobias.
