1987Lance Fung is curator of the SITE Santa Fe 2008 Biennial, the only international biennial art exhibition in the United States. Fung, who was featured in a January article in The New York Times, has curated groundbreaking installations from Finnish Lapland to Turin, Italy, and has plans for an underwater installation in Bali in 2010. The exhibition will run through Jan. 4.   jesikah maria ross, M.S. '99, recently completed a two-year regional media project "Saving The Sierra: Voices of Conservation In Action" (www.savingthesierra.org), which used a mobile story booth, an interactive Web site, community listening sessions and public radio broadcasts to document and present community efforts to conserve the culture, economy and environment of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range.   Julie Silver has edited What Helped Get Me Through: Cancer Survivors Share Wisdom and Hope (American Cancer Society). The book is the result of Silver's survey of nearly 300 cancer survivors, medical specialists and leaders of cancer organizations about every aspect of the cancer experience. Silver, a breast cancer survivor and author of over a dozen books, is a doctor of physical medicine and rehabilitation. She is on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and on the staff of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.
1989Denise Marie Rugani, the principal at Riverview Middle School in Bay Point and a resident of Concord, has been re-elected president of Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity. Kappa Kappa Gamma is one of the oldest women's fraternities.
1990Saud Al-Rowaily obtained a Ph.D. degree in range science after graduating from UC Davis and is now an assistant professor at King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He is married and has three children: Sarah, 9; Faris, 6; and Mishal, 1.   Mike Buck and Anna Lewis '06 were married in May in Sutter Creek. They honeymooned in Mendocino and live in Sacramento.
1991Kim Green's third novel, Live a Little, was published by 5 Spot/Grand Central Publishing in August. Green writes commercial fiction with a comic, romantic twist.    Natalie Kurtz was promoted to fire inspector for the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District after working for the district for 10 years in training, education and code compliance. She also recently received a Certificate in Fire Service Technology from Solano College. Kurtz is married to a firefighter; they live in Danville and have a 3-year-old son.    A short story by Mark Wisniewski, M.A., titled "Straightaway," originally published in literary magazine Antioch Review, has been chosen by guest editor Salman Rushdie to appear in The Best American Short Stories 2008, scheduled for publication by Houghton Mifflin in October.
1992Elke Chaudhary, Cred. '93, and her partner, Lisa Key, welcomed their second child in February, a daughter, Annika.   Jessica Dugan, D.V.M., and her husband, Richard Keatinge, welcomed their first son, Augustine, in May at the American Hospital in Paris. Dugan has been an equine sports medicine consultant in Paris for the last four years.
1993Terri Dawn Arnold has written Growing Pains, 10 short stories about growing up. Arnold is also a writer, director and producer for film and television, and teaches writing and literature to junior high, high school and college students. More information can be found online at www.tdaentertainment.com  Michael Edwards and his wife, Hayley, welcomed their first child, Reid, in August 2007. The family lives in Pinehurst, N.C., where Edwards is a radiologist with Pinehurst Radiology Associates.   Peter Mathios was named the 2009 Ducks Unlimited International Artist of the Year, his goal, he says, "since roaming the halls of the art building." Mathios, his wife, Rachelle, and their two children live in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. His art can be found online at www.mathiosstudios.net.
1995Laura (Battcher) Huddleston and her husband, Harold, welcomed their first child, Margaret Hannah, in March. The family lives in Dallas, where Laura is the vice president of product development for textile company Perennials, and Harold is the director of youth ministries for a local Lutheran church.   After five years as chief of staff for San Diego County Supervisor Dianne Jacob, Geoff Patnoe joined San Diego communications firm Public Policy Strategies as president in June. He previously was executive director of the San Diego County Taxpayers Assocation, held positions with public relations firms and began his career as communications aide to Gov. Pete Wilson. Patnoe lives in Tierrasanta with his wife, Christine, and daughters, Abigail and Kara.    James Soong, J.D., joined the intellectual property practice of Greenberg Traurig as a shareholder in the international law firm's Silicon Valley office in May. His practice focuses on patent litigation and strategic counseling for electronics and software companies. He previously worked for McDermott Will & Emery and a software company.
1996David Chao, a regional manager for Cisco WebEx, won a Stevie Award for Best Sales Representative in the 2008 American Business Awards program. Chao, who works out of Rancho Cordova, ranks in the top 1 percent of worldwide corporate sales for Cisco WebEx. He writes a blog that can be found at davidchao.typepad.com  David Cheng has joined the San Francisco office of law firm Nixon Peabody as a member of its tax controversies and litigation team.   Zeena Fakoury is the founding director of sales and has overseen the opening of Cavallo Point, The Lodge at the Golden Gate, a luxury hotel that opened on the site of the former Fort Baker at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge.
