Roddy Resigns Top CAAA Post

For the second time in less than a year, the Cal Aggie Alumni Association is looking for a new leader. On Jan. 11, Charlie Roddy resigned as executive director of the Cal Aggie Alumni Association. Roddy, who also served as assistant vice chancellor for Alumni Relations, returned to his home in New England and is working in development at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He cited personal reasons for his departure.

Although Roddy helmed CAAA for just eight months, the impact of his leadership will benefit the alumni association for some time, says Babs Sandeen, vice chancellor for University Relations. Roddy significantly raised the profile of the alumni association and was committed to strengthening CAAA’s partnerships with individuals and departments across campus.

The university is currently conducting a nationwide search to fill the executive director post. Janice Corbett ’94, director of marketing and communications for CAAA, is serving as executive director and assistant vice chancellor for Alumni Relations in the interim.

Alumni with questions are encouraged to contact CAAA at (800) 242-GRAD or alumni@ucdavis.edu.
