Other Reserves

Stebbins Cold Canyon Reserve is one of 36 UC reserves that protect 130,000 acres of natural land throughout California. Six are administered by UC Davis. In addition to Stebbins Reserve, they are:

Bodega Marine Reserve, 442 acres of upland, wetland and marine habitats adjoining the state Bodega Marine Life Refuge in Sonoma County north of San Francisco.

Eagle Lake Field Station, 62 acres of volcanic terrain at California’s fourth largest lake in Lassen County.

Jepson Prairie Reserve, 1,566 acres of natural prairie and vernal-pool habitats in Solano County.

Donald and Sylvia McLaughlin Reserve, 6,940 acres of serpentine, coast range, riparian woodland, blue oak woodland and savannah, grassland and chaparral habitats, in Napa, Yolo and Lake counties.

Quail Ridge Reserve, 1,937 acres of native and non-native grasslands, chamise chaparral, oak woodlands and riparian woodlands on a peninsula on the southern end of Lake Berryessa west of Davis.
